As part of the month “Combating the Spread of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances among Young People”, Urgench Innovation University held a round table for part-time students.

Speakers included rector's adviser G‘. Matsapayev, X. Davletov, head of the Division of Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment, and crime prevention inspector Major M. Berdiyev, who shared their views on effective ways to prevent the spread of drugs and psychotropic substances.

Participants also discussed in detail promoting a healthy lifestyle, stepping up prevention work among the public, especially young people, applying legal measures, combating the illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances and building public resilience against this vice. It was emphasized that regular communication between parents and their children is an important factor in preventing drug addiction.

Indeed, preventing drug and psychotropic substance use requires a multifaceted approach. Combining prevention (spiritual and educational) work with strict legal measures helps effectively reduce the spread of this vice in society.
