Tree planting is under way at URIU as part of a hashar (community work day) and the Yashil Makon project.
Urgench Innovation University has started greening its grounds as part of the nationwide charity hashar under the motto “The prosperity of the country begins with the mahalla” and the national Yashil Makon (Green Space) project.
In particular, saplings of ornamental trees — 50 poplars, 50 ash trees, 100 roses, 50 sumacs and 50 maples — were delivered to the university today, and the university's leadership and staff are planting them across the campus and carrying out landscaping work.
This initiative aims to further improve the campus environment, expand green areas and create a healthy, well-kept environment. During planting, special attention is being paid to caring for the trees, watering them and making sure they survive.
